La Cabaña Restaurante · Vernal, UT
About us

Bienvenidos, amigos.

A family restaurant that has grown up with Vernal — same corner of Main Street, same from‑scratch cooking, since 1991.

Our story

Every restaurant has a beginning. Ours began with family.

Before La Cabaña became a restaurant in Vernal, the story began with family, food, and memories of life in Mexico. Hear it from Jesús Martínez.

Our story

From Mexico to Vernal

La Cabaña opened its doors in Vernal in 1991 and has been a neighborhood fixture ever since. It's where families come after ball games, where oil‑field crews stop for lunch, and where visitors headed to Dinosaur National Monument discover that small‑town Utah does real Mexican food.

The menu is built on the classics done right: chile verde simmered slowly, enchiladas smothered the way they should be, fajitas that arrive still sizzling, and birria tacos with consomé for dipping. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the kids' plate is still under five dollars.

We celebrate with the town, too — Cinco de Mayo with live music and piñatas, Día del Niño, Mother's Day giveaways, and Taco Tuesday every single week.
